Local and Regional Events*
The National Archives will sponsor its second Virtual Genealogy Fair on October 21-22, 2015 with live streaming of lectures by genealogy experts from NARA and around the country on YouTube. This year’s lectures will feature tips on using records at the National Archives for genealogy research. There will be offerings for novice and experienced genealogy researchers. Monthly Meetings
Monthly meetings are held between September and June of each calendar year, and are held at various locations in the DC metropolitan area. Monthly meetings often include a short business meeting, an informative presentation by an expert speaker. Members-only workshops and other learning opportunities are provided throughout the year. The JGSGW Library at B'nai Israel Congregation is open following programs whenever a meeting is held at that location.

Library Announcements
The library will be open Wednesdays beginning in September from 11 AM - 2:30 PM by appointment and on Sunday, Oct 4 from 10 AM - noon. Will also be open Sunday Nov. 8 from 10 AM - noon prior to the JGSGW meeting. We are open 3 PM - 4:30 PM after most JGSGW meetings at B'nai Israel. We are closed Jewish and Federal holidays. Attendance Policy
All members in good standing are invited to attend any and all JGSGW programs and events. Guests may attend monthly meetings for a small fee. Learn more…
